Kelly's hugging the fire extinguisher
The fires are still a ways away, but there was a bit of a scare today. One fire started in Acton, just about three miles from where we lived until Saturday. It started at 2:40 pm and was contained by 5:30, so I feel ok about the AV fire departments.
The fires do still freak Kelly out, so we'll be sleeping with the fire extinguishers. And re-creating our 72-hour go pack and ammo supply. Here, we will also need a 72 hour water supply. I'll spell out our whole Armageddon plan soon. Including how we will get back east without western civilization as we know it.

I'm going to stick with Western NY is one of the best places to live, we have winter but there are no wildfires, nor hurricanes, rare tornadoes, and the rare mild earthquake (2 that I remember that were the equivalent of a dog scratching itself under your bed). winter is easy to deal with compared to the other problems. But you are producing more vitamin D and probably less susceptible to seasonal depression out there.

I agree. Except for the month of March, well, really the two month period from mid-February to mid-April. I'll miss everything about the weather there excpept for then.
