Comments welcome
When someone new comments, it goes something like this:
5:00 pm phone call from Kelly to me at work:
"There's a surprise for you."
"Really, what?"
"You'll have to come home and check the blog to find out."
"I'll be there soon."
Then I rush home and log on to see. So last night was Becki, Kelly's cousin. It was such a pleasant surprise.
According to the stats, about five times as many people are reading this site as are reading and commenting. So I encourage people to read and comment, you will probably make our entire week if you do. Even if you do it often. Especially if you do it often. Even if we don't know you. Especially if we don't know you.
Comment early. Comment often.

You guys are so jovial! WHat a fun website blog you have created. Now, don't get too excited that you give yourself a heart attack that I am commenting again in less than 24 hours!!!LOL
The weather is a bit chilly in NY today. Frost very high on the cars even at 9:30 so need to start the car before going out. Not that we have seen any of that awful white stuff on the ground yet!
Enjoy the sun!

Hey Chuck,
Richie and I were thinking of you this morning on Veteran's Day. Just wanted to let you know.

Hi from the great state of NY where the weather is more variable than my 2 year olds temper. It was a chilly 28* this morning as I drove to Hamlin to do laundry at the laundromat. Thanks to Mother Nature, we have yet to receive the rainfall needed to replenish our normal usage of our well. BTW - I LOVE my heated seats in my car. Tomorrow, mid-50s and 20's again next weekend with that lovely S-word forecast (subject to interpretation of each news channel).
I, too, am letting you know that you have been thought about this Veteran's Day. I have an enormous amount of gratitude in my heart for all that have fought for, and those that are fighting for, our country's freedom.
GOD BLESS THE USA!
I came across this prayers and wanted to share:
"You gave for peace with courage
That families may be free
So children could grow strong
And safe they'd ever be.
In giving for the sake of peace
You may have suffered loss
Your body may still show its wounds
From taking up the cause.
May remembrance of your time away
Your sacrifice for peace
Spur us on to strive more strongly
For freedom, that there'll be release.
From causes that sent some away
To fight that we may freely live
With gratefulness we thank you, Veterans,
For all you gave and give!"

I'm sorry, but our military is not fighting for freedom or for peace. And there is no way that God condones what we are doing.
Sorry, Chuck, I know this isn't supposed to be political and that I should probably post this kind of thing on my own blog. I just couldn't let it pass by. The whole idea that God is always on the side of the USA just totally appalls me.

Chuck,
Happy Veterans Day and Happy Marine Corp birthday. We are very proud that you have served! You have done us proud! We love our country and you for helping to keep us safe. Thank you!

The last paragraph could be interpretted many different ways, especially when taken out of context. Also happy Veteran's Day a day late to one of my favorite veterans. So they consider 62 chilly? How sad.
Go see Real Pirates if it comes to a museum anywhere near you. It is hands down the best exhibit I have ever seen, and that includes Dorothy's ruby slippers, Kermit, & Einstein's pipe from the Smithsonian.

YES! Being quoted is almost as good as getting comments on my blog.

Yes, that was totally an unattributed quote.

That almost made it cooler because then it just sounded like a thing that people say.
