Home alone: Science, Beer, and the miracle of the intertubes.
Kelly is busy building the Rose Bowl Parade float for the City of Palmdale (even though we actually live in Lancaster).
I was going to go back to work today, which I did for about 5 minutes to make sure the world is not blowing up. It isn't . The whole plant is literally shut down; I think there isn't even heat in some buildings, but I do have some work to do, so I'll be in tomorrow.
This means that I have a day at home alone for the first time since sometime back in Liverpool, possibly as long ago as last January.
So what do I do with my freedom?
Watch The Science Channel, drink beer, and surf the internet for weird things. I'm also making turkey stock and scrubbing the stainless steel roasting pan.
One of my least favorite realizations as an adult is that these and Corning Ware actually do come completely clean after each use if you try hard enough. I used to think that they got stains that just plain happen despite human efforts. Unfortunately not true.
But I also found this. A weird dog responding to weird noises.
Barenaked Ladies in the bathroom!! (safe for work). Play the "BNL Bathroom Sessions - One Week" (it's about 18 videos down if you scroll down). I dare you not to smile listening to these guys. Canadians make life better for everyone.

The Intertubes are where kids these days post nude photos of their friends on myface.ww.com. It's where these "bluggers" are taking work away from respectable news outlets like Fox and showing people how to build bombs. It's a dangerous fad that is destined to fade out of popularity soon.
