Making snow angels in the carpet

So, what we hear is that we should have the keys tomorrow. The loan was funded; the last significant hurdle to getting the house. We could be delayed a little by the seller being slow with paperwork, but so far our experience has been that he and his Realtor are even faster at responding than we and ours. Actually, I think he did his part already and all that has to happen is for it to "record." I still have no idea what that means. I guess it just gets a stamp from someone named Beatrice or Doris at some bureaucratic office somewhere.

Being a weekday in which Kelly and I will work a combined 22 hours, we're not planning to accomplish any moving tomorrow. The current plan is to go pick up the keys, then get some subs and have a picnic in the back yard.

After that, we'll chase each other around the house and maybe make snow angels in the carpet.

And no, I don't mean that as a euphemism for "christening" a room, pervert.

It will be so nice to be there without any chaperons, to know it's finally ours. There are so many details I want to study, like the little cross walk between the driveway and the main walk to the front door.

And the brick inlays in the concrete work in the front and rear.

I wonder how much my mortgage payment will be in Ameros.
