Big freaking snails

We knew we were moving to the desert and we knew that there would be all sorts of different things here.

Like sand and tumbleweed and that kind of crap.

But the human inhabited desert has provided several surprizes. The frogs were one, but the other one has been the great big snails.

Really big.

I'm pretty sure that slimy critters aren't native to the Mojave desert. The things that lived here before sprinklers have a dessicated, ancient look about them. And they definately don't leave slime trails wherever they go.

I'm actully writing right now from the back yard, thanks to the newly fixed laptop and the wireless home network I finally figured out how to use.

It's later now and our friends Cindy and Robbie came over for dinner and got to meet Kelly's best friend Kelly B., who is vsiting for a while.

Robbie and Cindy had their adorable baby, Devon, here too.

I worked the seventh of what will probably be 35 or so days straight today, so I may not be posting much.
