Maybe the best day of vacation

The Wyoming County (New York) Fair may not be everyone's idea of a perfect vacation destination, but those folks wouldn't have the company I had there.

Mom, Dad, Jesse, and Rich took me, I think Wednesday of the week I was back in New York.

The first thing is always to apply spray sunscreen.

Then we watched the goat judging for a while.

Then to went watch the horses.

And had some of the Learning.

Later, I had the worlds WORST corn dog. North Easterners don't really do the corn dog. This one was not even fried, it was sort of a corn bread waffle wrapped around a bad hot dog. Everyone else had something better.

After the fair, we went to Letchworth State Park, known as the Grand Canyon of the east, but only by those who have neither the experience nor imagination to understand the Grand Canyon of the west. But it's still really cool and you can often have the place almost to yourself.

Then we went to see the dam back hoe.

We weren't really sure what they were doing up stream of the Mount Morris dam, but it looked like fun. It also looked like the Genesee river had somehow dried up upstream of there, but the water is flowing in a channel close to the near bank of the gorge, where it's hard to see from that side.

I know at least three guys who wanted these guys' jobs that day.

Then it was time for ice cream.

After that, we went to JJ and Steve's farm for haircuts from Steve's niece, Olivia. Jimmie and the rest of the Fam met us there.

Finally, it was time to rock out playing Rock Band in the barn.

Awesome day.
