Never forget

We will forget. Just as we've forgotten how 9/11/01 really felt, but we have to try.

James Carville says that when your enemy in politics is drowning, hand him and anvil. I think that strategy needs to be used with anyone who produces or sells petroleum-based fuels. They want you to be addicted to be powerless during the next, inevitable rise in oil prices.

Hand them an anvil and look for new ways to conserve.

I understand that many good American companies are in oil and that many of us are invested in these companies. Worry not for them. Oil is probably the single most useful substance to modern society, we will always need it.

Worry about yourself and imagine a life unattached to the hate-filled Middle East and our self-destructive obligations to Israel.

Hand Saudi Arabia an anvil, and show them that even though they manipulate prices to coincide with our elections, it will not stop us from seeking freedom from the slavery our dependence forces us into.

Stay angry.
